Job summary

Distinct | North America seeks an attorney to handle a broad range of construction defect and insurance defense matters, representing contractors, developers, property owners, insurers and other clients throughout all stages of litigation.

Key responsibilities include managing matters from inception through resolution, drafting pleadings, taking depositions, hearings, mediations and arbitrations, and working closely with experts, clients and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

• 2-7 years of litigation experience.
• Georgia Bar admission required.
• Experience with construction defect and/or insurance defense matters preferred.
• Strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction defect matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery and substantive legal analysis.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Handle hearings, mediations and arbitrations.
• Work closely with experts, clients and opposing counsel.
• Assist with trial preparation and, where appropriate, trial.
