Distinct, a national defence litigation firm based in San Diego, seeks attorneys with 1–7 years of civil defence litigation experience to join a hybrid work environment with flexible work-from-home options.

You will handle your own defect files, including discovery, motions, and site inspections, and depose homeowners, experts and subs. Experience in construction or defect matters is helpful, with California Bar admission required.

Qualifications

• 1–7 years of civil defence litigation experience.
• Construction or defect experience helps.
• Appetite for learning how a building goes together.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own defect files from initial read through resolution.
• Draft written discovery, motions and conduct site inspections.
• Depose homeowners, experts and subcontractors.
• Handle tenders and indemnity issues that drive many cases to resolution.
• Keep carriers informed of case progress.
