Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services Inc. seeks Construction Defect Claims Leaders at Manager to Director levels to oversee diverse portfolios and guide teams, with option for remote work.

You will provide technical oversight on coverage, liability investigations, and litigation management, drive operational excellence, develop talent, and collaborate with executive leadership to deliver strong claim outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in commercial claims.
• Experience handling Construction Defect claims preferred.
• Strong understanding of coverage analysis, liability, litigation management, damages evaluation.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop claims professionals.
• Experience driving performance and operational results.
• Bachelor's degree preferred and adjuster license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Construction Defect claims professionals handling claims of varying complexity and severity.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance on coverage analysis, liability investigations, damage evaluation, litigation management, reserving, negotiation, and claim resolution strategies.
• Ensure appropriate claim assignment and workload management across the team.
• Oversee claim handling quality, consistency, and compliance with company guidelines, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve claim payments, reserve recommendations, and settlement authority within designated authority levels.
• Conduct file reviews and quality audits to ensure technical excellence and operational effectiveness.
• Drive superior customer service for insureds, brokers, counsel, and internal business partners.
• Analyze claim and operational trends, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement best practices.
• Recruit, hire, develop, coach, and retain top talent.
• Lead performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic business initiatives, organizational planning, and departmental objectives.
• Participate in special projects and enterprise-wide initiatives as needed.
