Job summary

White Cap in Houston is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to drive sales, deliver outstanding customer service, and support large construction projects across North America.

You will assist walk‑in, phone, and web customers, process orders, quote prices, enter orders, and provide order information; communicate product features, benefits, and warranty terms; apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot problems; and upsell related products and promotions.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with sales order systems or ERP platforms (Oracle or similar).
• Ability to identify customer needs and upsell solutions.
• Knowledge of construction/industrial product lines or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional customer service to walk‑in, phone, and web customers.
• Process orders, quote prices, enter orders into the system, and provide order information to customers.
• Communicate product features, benefits, and warranty policy information.
• Apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve customer problems.
• Upsell related products, add‑on extensions, and inform customers of promotions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
