Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to support our growing cost management practice on a diverse portfolio of real estate and infrastructure projects. You will lead cost estimating, reporting, and commercial governance, collaborate with clients and vendors, and drive value engineering while ensuring SOX controls where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation valuable or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Advising client on strategies, managing prequalification of vendors, assessing proposals, bids, and bid levelling documents, making final recommendations to the client, attending & chairing bid interviews, and managing appointment process.
• Developing project estimates for construction, fees, direct work and other costs; reviewing junior estimates; presenting to client; suggesting value engineering and risk assessments.
• Establishing cost reporting schedules, reviewing cost reports and forecasts, monitoring budgets and spend with client, and maintaining risk registers.
• Managing cost control through payment assessments, change orders, and contractor entitlements; supporting dispute prevention/resolution.
• Monitoring invoicing process and final accounting; conducting post-contract reviews and lessons learned.
• Preparing bid analyses and using cost estimation software and take-off tools.
• Ensuring SOX controls are followed where applicable.
