Job summary

Cumming Group in Denver, CO is seeking a Cost Manager to lead budget estimates and cost analysis across multiple projects. You will develop unit costs, interpret project scope, and manage change orders while building strong vendor and client relationships.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
• More than 3 years’ experience post-undergraduate degree in related field
• Working towards MRICS/AssocRICS/CCP/CEP/CPE or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Develop budget estimates by performing accurate quantity take offs using plans and specifications.
• Review, interpret and define the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents.
• Build up unit costs based on understanding of labor and material rate structures.
• Understand local market conditions and solicit feedback where applicable.
• Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships.
• Prepare and deliver summary analysis for assigned scope of work.
• Evaluate change orders and peer review of estimates.
• Assist with the continuous cost management process.
• Review, analyze, quantify, and assess change orders.
• Review and understand commercial contract terms.
• Lead the development of estimates for projects under supervision of their manager.
• Attend work during normal business hours.
