Job description

As a Construction Coordinator, you are the 'command center' for our department. Supporting a team of Construction Managers, you will juggle a wide array of project-critical tasks in a high-stakes environment. We are looking for an organizational expert with a background in the construction industry (cooling tower experience is a major plus) who can navigate complex deadlines and keep our projects moving forward.

Responsibilities
  • Project Documentation & Data Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of project records, including daily progress, payroll/man-hour reports (MDP), and close-out documents. This includes maintaining the labor force database and ensuring all data is accurately uploaded to company systems.
  • Logistical & Resource Oversight: Manage the procurement and tracking of critical resources by securing equipment vendor rates, maintaining the rental database, and coordinating inventory for field assets such as vehicles, electronics, and safety monitors.
  • Executive & Field Support: Serve as a specialized coordinator for executive-led projects by drafting execution plans, handling job-specific administration, and facilitating travel or logistical needs for field personnel.
  • Departmental Coordination: Act as the central communication link for the Construction Management team by tracking daily project hours and maintaining the department-wide "Action Item" list to ensure all deadlines are met.
Success Criteria and Qualifications
  • Organizational Excellence & Agility: Demonstrates high-level attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency. The candidate must be a responsive multitasker who balances immediate demands with an understanding of "big picture" project goals.
  • Professional Communication & Collaboration: Exhibits articulate verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly within a team-oriented environment.
  • Industry Experience & Education: Requires a high school diploma with five years of construction industry experience (or an equivalent combination of higher education and field knowledge).
  • Technical & Operational Readiness: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to maintain a consistent 40-hour weekly schedule.
