Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group seeks a Controller to lead the accounting function for a growing construction firm, driving accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

The role includes managing month-end close, budgeting, job costing, AIA billing, and coordinating audits and payroll reporting, while partnering with project managers and senior leadership on financial strategy.

Qualifications

• Strong background in construction accounting.
• Advanced proficiency with Sage 300 (Timberline) and related ERP tools.
• Knowledge of GAAP and construction industry compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Perform job costing, WIP reporting, and AIA billing.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership on financial strategy.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and insurance requirements.
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate payroll and benefits reporting.

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Perform job costing, WIP reporting, and AIA billing
• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership on financial strategy
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and insurance requirements
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate payroll and benefits reporting

Qualifications
