NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Construction Controller for the Metro Atlanta area to lead the accounting function in a growing construction firm. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

The position offers hybrid work flexibility with in-office collaboration, and a compensation package including base salary, bonus potential, pension benefits, and generous PTO as part of a strong benefits program.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction accounting.
• Proficiency with Sage 300 (Timberline) and ERP tools.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of GAAP and construction industry compliance.
• Strong communication and cross-department collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Perform job costing, WIP reporting, and AIA billing.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership on financial strategy.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and insurance requirements.
• Supervise accounting staff and payroll/benefits reporting.

• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership on financial strategy
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and insurance requirements
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate payroll and benefits reporting
