Job summary

LVI Associates in Charlotte, NC seeks a seasoned Construction Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations for a growing construction organization. The role partners with executive leadership to drive profitability through project-based accounting and strong financial leadership.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction accounting, experience with Viewpoint Vista, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as a Controller in construction or related field.
• Deep knowledge of construction accounting principles and project-based accounting.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial operations for the company.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Manage WIP schedules, job cost reporting, revenue recognition, and project analyses.
• Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes.
• Collaborate with operations to monitor project profitability and financial performance.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger; manage audits and banking relations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls; mentor staff.
