Job summary

Triple Crown Corporation in Harrisburg, PA seeks a Construction Controller to oversee the Construction Division’s accounting functions. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and job costing, providing strategic financial oversight to support growth.

Responsibilities include supervising the accounting team, improving internal controls, preparing management reports, and ensuring timely year-end closing. CPA/CCIFP preferred; driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting management and supervision of direct reports.
• CPA or CCIFP is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in computerized accounting systems.
• Knowledge of Yardi Accounting and Construction software is preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the administration and continuous improvement of accounting systems, policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Oversees daily cash management, including cash position monitoring, cash flow analysis, bank deposits, and required bank financial reporting.
• Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, forecasts, and management reports.
• Oversees the annual operating budget process, including preparation, monitoring, and analysis of budget performance.
• Directs accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring progress billings, collections, vendor payments, and related processes are completed accurately and timely.
• Oversees job costing, job revenue recognition, and recording of related costs of sales across the Construction Division.
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of monthly and year-end closing processes, internal financial statements, and year-end CPA work papers.
• Leads financial analysis related to Land Development and Finished Lot Sales, including interest capitalization calculations, site write-off analysis, and related journal entries.
• Coordinates required tax, government, insurance, and other regulatory reporting.
• Leads and supervises the Construction Division’s accounting team, including recruitment and performance management.
