Valtex LLC is a growing construction and manufacturing group seeking a Construction Bookkeeper & Accountant in Fort Myers, FL. This full-time role supports ownership with accurate book-keeping, job costing, and reliable financial reporting across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction accounting, strong QuickBooks Online skills, and experience with inter-company transactions, WIP, retainage, and AIA billings. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Direct experience in construction industry accounting.
Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency.
Experience with inter-company transactions and multi-entity accounting.
Excellent Excel skills and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple entities with inter-company allocations.
Maintain QuickBooks Online for GL coding and project job costing.
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and AIA-style billings.
Track retainage, subcontractor compliance, and lien releases.
Analyze job profitability and prepare WIP reporting.
Manage bank and credit card reconciliations for all entities.
Prepare monthly financial statements and coordinate with CPAs for year-end tax.
