SMS, a trusted Utah-based construction company, seeks a Controller/Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance. Reporting to the president, you will lead a finance team and provide insights to support strategic planning and risk management.

The role requires 3–5 years in finance within construction, a bachelor’s in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, and excellent communication.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commensurate experience.
• 3–5 years of finance experience in construction sector.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Experience leading accounting teams and monthly closes.
• Proficient with MS Office and ERP systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead accounting operations including close processes and reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory filings.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external partners.
• Develop and mentor accounting team members.
