Job summary

DEFTEC Corporation is seeking a Construction Control Inspector in Colorado Springs to serve as a technical consultant for planning, design interpretation, and field issue resolution. You will perform on-site inspections to confirm contractor compliance with approved plans, specifications, and contract requirements.

The role requires 3+ years of construction experience and a degree in construction management or construction technology.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction/contract-related experience with a relevant degree.
• Knowledge of construction inspection practices for building materials and systems.
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural plans.
• Proficiency in mathematics and safety practices.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical consultant to support planning, design interpretation, and field issue resolution.
• Inspect and surveil complex projects to ensure contractor compliance with plans and specs.
• Review field conditions; coordinate changes with Government engineers and contractors.
• Inspect materials and equipment on-site; obtain samples and reject non-conforming items.
• Prepare detailed project documentation and support project acceptance discussions.
