Job summary

Confidential Employer in Tallahassee seeks an associate attorney to handle construction, procurement, contract, and commercial litigation matters. You will analyze contracts, develop practical strategies, and draft litigation documents while coordinating with senior attorneys on complex cases.

The role requires Florida Bar admission, 2+ years as an associate, and experience in construction/procurement or commercial litigation; 4+ years post-law-school experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Bar license.
• 2+ years of experience practicing as an associate attorney.
• 1+ year of construction law, procurement law, or commercial litigation experience.
• 4+ years of post-law-school legal experience strongly preferred.
• Construction and/or procurement law experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, analysis, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in construction, procurement, contract, and commercial litigation matters.
• Analyze contracts, claims, disputes, and regulatory issues and develop practical legal strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery, depositions, hearings, negotiations, and case preparation.
• Advise clients regarding construction contracts, procurement issues, business disputes and risk.
• Work directly with experienced attorneys and clients on sophisticated matters.
• Take increasing ownership of cases and client relationships as your experience grows.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
