Qualifications

• 4–5 years of litigation experience
• Meaningful construction-law or construction-litigation experience
• Experience with construction contracts and disputes
• Strong written advocacy and legal research skills
• Discovery and deposition experience
• Experience managing cases with independence
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong client-service capabilities

Responsibilities

• Handle breaches of contract disputes and delay claims in construction matters
• Draft pleadings and substantive motions; take and defend depositions
• Work with expert witnesses; prepare matters for mediation, arbitration and trial
• Advise contractors, developers, owners and other construction clients
• Manage cases with appropriate independence and accountability

The Role

The attorney will handle matters including:

• Breach of contract disputes.
• Delay and disruption claims.
• Payment bond claims.
• Real property disputes arising from development projects.
• Drafting pleadings and substantive motions.
• Taking and defending depositions.
• Working with expert witnesses.
• Preparing matters for mediation, arbitration and trial.
• Advising contractors, developers, owners and other construction clients.

The Candidate

Candidates should have:

• 4–5 years of litigation experience.
• Meaningful construction-law or construction-litigation experience.
• Experience with construction contracts and disputes.
