Job summary

Ahmadi & Sons Automotive in Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced Construction Bookkeeper to join our in-house team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on day‑to‑day bookkeeping, project-based accounting, and accurate job costing for our construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of QuickBooks experience paired with construction bookkeeping expertise. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a salary range of $60,000–$75,000 per year based on experience.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of QuickBooks experience.
• 3–4+ years of construction accounting/bookkeeping.
• Experience with job costing and project-based accounting.
• Experience reconciling bank and credit card accounts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions.
• Maintain records in QuickBooks.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Enter and reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
• Prepare and send customer invoices.
• Track payments and balances.
• Maintain vendor accounts and invoices.
• Assist with payroll-related accounting.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Track project costs and job costing.
• Assist with construction project billing and financial reporting.
• Maintain documentation for vendors, subcontractors, customers, and projects.
• Prepare reports for management.
• Assist with month-end reconciliation.
• Work with management to keep records accurate.
