Job summary

Everus Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a BIM/CAD Coordinator who will create and modify elements within a virtual environment using Autodesk Revit and related software.

The role focuses on modeling electrical systems, setting up Revit views, and producing accurate shop drawings for field installation. The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent CAD experience, plus 5 years in the electrical construction industry, with strong knowledge of electrical drafting conventions and

• A working knowledge of CAD software at a level normally acquired through an associate’s degree in CAD or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years’ experience in electrical construction industry, with knowledge of electrical symbols and drafting conventions and standards.

Responsibilities

• Model electrical systems based on markup drawings and/or verbal direction provided by electrical detailers.
• Setup of Revit views and sheets in preparation for shop drawings.
• Annotate and dimension shop drawings for field installation.
• Utilize Bluebeam Revu to markup PDF drawings and communicate with team members.
• Prepare copies and help make sets of documents for transmittal to other parties.
• Download drawings and information from the Web, SharePoint, or project websites (FTP, BIM 360, etc.)
• Check own work for accuracy before passing on to others.
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The BIM/CAD Coordinator is responsible for creating and modifying elements within a virtual environment using industry specific software applications. The primary software OEG uses to accomplish this task is Autodesk Revit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A working knowledge of computer aided drafting and software applications at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate’s degree in computer aided design and drafting or related field or equivalent experience; and
• 5 years’ experience in electrical construction industry, with knowledge of electrical symbols and electrical drafting conventions and standards.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Experience in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCad, Bluebeam Revu, Trimble, and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Ability to take verbal and general written direction well and turn that direction into appropriate, working shop drawings.
• Fluency in the 2D and 3D space.
• Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades.
• Ability to receive and transmit documents on behalf of the design team.
• Fluency with all plotters, printers and reproduction systems used in house or on the job site.
• Fluency for importing documents, such as spread sheets, photos, images, and word processing files into Revit projects.
• Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
• Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Experience in creating simple parametric families, utilizing shared parameters, creating schedules, and creating complex geometry preferred.
• Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
• Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position)
• Requires trave: Minimal (up to 10%)
