Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball is seeking a Construction Accounting & Billing Specialist to support project management with precise billing per contract terms. You will prepare payment requisitions, coordinate with Project Managers, follow up on payments, and ensure timely invoice processing and accurate AR aging.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in AR or billing within construction or mechanical services, strong Excel/Word/Access skills, and excellent communication. Notary public is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have strong understanding of AR and Billing processes.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction office environment.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet closing deadlines with accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word; willing to leverage technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payment requisitions for projects.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on billing timing and progress billings.
• Follow up to ensure payments are received timely.
• Works with Accounts Receivables and Customer to resolve receivable issues.
• Processes invoice credits & bills, as necessary.
• Updates and retains customer account information related to special billing conditions, tax status, invoice approval contacts, billing addresses and special billing rates up-to-date.
