Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Field Technician to support the day-to-day operation, setup, and maintenance of Construction Automation systems on a New Albany, Ohio project. You will provide hands-on support for digital tools, workflows, and field-related technology used by construction and project teams.

The role emphasizes system setup, user support, troubleshooting, and maintaining reliable Construction Automation operations in an active construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years supporting construction technology, digital systems, or site-based IT/automation environments.
• Hands-on experience with construction or field technology platforms, including document management systems, reporting tools, mobile applications, or similar systems.
• Comfortable working in an active construction or industrial site environment.
• Basic understanding of construction functions, disciplines, and workflows across capital projects.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine system, application, and device issues in a field environment.
• Ability to communicate technical issues in clear terms to end users.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of Construction Automation systems in the field.
• Assist with system setup, configuration, and basic administration, including reports, user access, and security roles.
• Support deployment and setup of Construction Automation applications on mobile devices (tablets, phones, push-to-talk).
• Support processing and publishing visualization data from drones and site data capture sources.
• Monitor system usage and data quality; address routine issues.
• Troubleshoot software, device, and connectivity issues and escalate complex issues.
• Provide onboarding and training for project teams and contractors.
• Collaborate with field personnel to resolve issues and ensure effective tool use.
• Follow approved Construction Automation standards and procedures.
• Document common issues, resolutions, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
