Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Field Technician to support Construction Automation systems on a New Albany project. You will help with setup, maintenance, and user support for digital tools used by construction teams in an active site.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, data visualization workflows from drones, and collaboration with field personnel to ensure smooth operations. You will work on a major semiconductor plant project in Ohio, contributing to safe and efficient field

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience.
• Hands-on experience with construction technology, digital systems, or field IT/automation environments.
• Experience with drone-based data capture and processing workflows is a plus.
• Comfortable working in active construction or industrial site environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine system, application, and device issues in a field environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Construction Automation systems in the field.
• Assist with system setup, configuration, and basic administration, including reports, user access, and security roles.
• Support deployment and setup of Construction Automation applications on mobile devices such as tablets and phones.
• Process, quality-check, and publish visualization data from drones and site data sources.
• Monitor data quality and address routine issues impacting daily operations.
• Troubleshoot software, device, and connectivity issues and escalate complex problems.
• Provide day-to-day user support and basic training for project teams and contractors.
• Collaborate with field personnel to resolve issues and ensure effective use of tools.
• Follow Construction Automation standards and document common issues and resolutions.
