Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction's Engineering Audit Office seeks an Auditor. The selected candidate will audit payment requisitions for construction, equipment and consultant services in accordance with city directives.

Field visits will verify quantity and quality of work and audit reports will justify approval, adjustment, or rejection of payments. The role includes reviewing change orders for validity and cost reasonableness per applicable rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year supervising project management work on engineering/architectural/construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture/related field or equivalent experience required.
• Experience reviewing payment requisitions and change orders is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audit payment requisitions for construction, equipment, and consultant services.
• Perform field visits to verify quantity and quality of work.
• Write comprehensive audit reports to justify approvals, adjustments or rejections.
