Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Construction Management, or Engineering.
• Two years of experience performing reviews of construction related activities.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and communicate effectively with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Create a baseline of current construction projects to monitor change in projects, completion, and spend.
• Conduct financial audits of construction projects, reviewing budgets, contracts, and invoices.
• Verify compliance with contractual agreements, regulations, and industry standards.
• Analyze cost estimates, change orders, calculation methodologies, and payment applications for accuracy.
• Compare pay estimates to supporting documentation to determine reasonableness and completeness.
• Identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, or risks in project financials and operations.
• Review project documentation including schedules and progress reports.
• Verify accuracy of Authority reporting on construction activities.
• Provide recommendations to improve cost management and risk mitigation.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management.
• Collaborate with project teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
