Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a JD, is admitted to the Texas State Bar, and has at least three years of construction law experience, including disputes and defects. You will provide skilled counsel and represent clients in litigation and arbitration.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas State Bar.
• At least 3 years of experience as a construction attorney or in a similar role.
• Proven experience with construction disputes and defects.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local construction laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on construction matters including contract disputes and risk management.
• Represent clients in court or before government agencies in construction litigation.
• Negotiate settlements of civil disputes favorable to clients.
• Conduct research and analysis of construction-related legal problems.
• Interpret laws and regulations for construction industry clients.
