Mortenson Construction is seeking an Associate Environmental Specialist to support environmental management for Solar and Emerging Renewables projects across North America. This role involves reviewing environmental documentation, advising on environmental matters, and coordinating with staff while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
The position is based in California (Fresno County region) with 100% travel to project sites.
Mortenson is currently seeking an Associate Environmental Specialist with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever‑changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Associate Environmental Specialist will support Mortenson's environmental management efforts for Solar and Emerging Renewables projects throughout North America, providing review of environmental documentation, and advising on environmental matters in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures.
Location: California, Fresno County
Travel: This is a regional position that will be supporting projects in a specified region of the U.S. This is a 100% travel position. Mortenson hires for a career and not a project.

Base pay range for this role is $73,800 – $92,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
