Job summary

Basnight & Sons is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in overseeing projects within Division 8 and Division 10. The role focuses on ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, with responsibilities spanning estimating, detailing, document management, and procurement/shipping/receiving.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in related construction roles, familiarity with doors/hardware, and proficiency in software tools like ComSense and Pro-Tech,

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in doors and hardware, building materials, or related construction industry role.
• Proficiency in ComSense and Pro-Tech preferred.
• Strong competency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive.
• Experience working with people in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of frames, door, and hardware products, materials, and industry standards.
• Local to the Raleigh-Durham, NC area.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and validating project estimates, quotes and purchase orders.
• Help manage, update, and organize projects in bid tracking software.
• Efficiently edit and organize job documents.
• Work with PM to address changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and resolve scope conflicts.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Effectively resolve customer issues and complaints with a proactive approach.
• Handle incoming calls and provide relevant support.
• Greet walk-in customers and provide assistance as needed.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
