Job Summary

Infinity Contracting Services Corp is actively seeking a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager with prior construction experience to join our team on a project located in the five boroughs of New York City.

The Assistant Project Manager position will assist and support the project manager, superintendent, and/or foreman on assigned project(s). The position will work under direct supervision, perform routine daily activities, gather, distribute information and deliverables, and manage project management software.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Setup, manage, and maintain project management software for each job.
  2. Organize, maintain, and process contract documents and shop drawings in order to meet project budget, schedule, and requirements.
  3. Identify, issue, and manage RFIs.
  4. Formulate start-up, testing, and commissioning procedures.
  5. Serve as a point of contact regarding technical information associated with the project.
  6. Verify existing field conditions and report changes to affected parties.
  7. Lead internal MEP coordination process.
  8. Facilitate required inspections, testing, and commissioning.
  9. Review contract documents for completeness and consistency.
  10. Identify project scope deviations from contract documents and field observations.
  11. Monitor construction progress for quality compliance.
  12. Resolve and manage client-issued non-compliance reports.
  13. Assist the project manager with buy-outs.
  14. Release equipment and materials per approved submittals.
  15. Manage and coordinate lead times and delivery dates for equipment and materials.
  16. Generate submittal, RFI, equipment, etc. logs for project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or related engineering disciplines (or equivalent experience).
  2. Ability to work in a multi-task environment.
  3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  4. Excellent time management skills.
  5. Proficient in basic engineering computations and analysis.
  6. Working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
  7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
