Job summary

Edwards Construction Group seeks a detail‑oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial construction projects in California. You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to coordinate activities, manage change, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance from preconstruction through closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction or similar role.
• Working knowledge of construction processes, plans, specs, and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
• Coordinate and distribute contract docs (drawings, specs, addenda, ASIs).
• Manage RFIs, submittals, transmittals, PCCOs, COs, and other deliverables in Procore.
• Assist with budgets, schedules of values, cost tracking, change requests, billing, and labor compliance.
• Process and maintain subcontractor/owner docs (subcontracts, PO’s, change orders).
• Support scheduling, phasing, sequencing, and monitor performance for quality, schedule, budget, safety.
