Cap8 Doors & Hardware is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to own the full AR cycle for progress billing in commercial projects. The role emphasizes AIA billing, schedules of values, and coordination with project teams in Washington, DC, on-site four days a week.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction AR, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with construction contracts and change orders. Compensation includes a base salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounts receivable experience in the construction industry.
• Deep understanding of progress billing, AIA billing documents, contracts, and change orders.
• Proficiency with Excel and construction accounting software.
• Ability to manage multiple complex billing accounts under monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit monthly construction progress billings per contract terms.
• Manage AIA billing applications, schedules of values, change orders, and retainage.
• Monitor AR aging and implement proactive collection strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and customers for billing approvals.
• Track retainage balances and prepare lien waivers and sworn statements for payment.
• Apply customer payments, reconcile billing accounts, and assist with month-end close.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical billing records to ensure compliance.
