TEWS is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for an in-office, full-time role in the construction industry. This position supports a collaborative accounting team and works closely with project and operations stakeholders to ensure accurate billing and timely collections. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Location: In Office. Pay: $20-$24/hour. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounts receivable experience in construction, proficiency in Excel/Outlook/Word, knowledge

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience (construction industry strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction billing, including job/project numbers and high-volume invoicing
• Experience with outbound collections and professional customer communication
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word (SAP experience is a plus)
• History of job stability and commitment to long-term roles

Responsibilities

• Manage client and project-based billing, ensuring invoices are applied accurately
• Conduct collections via phone and email for assigned accounts
• Prepare A/R aging reports and reconcile daily deposits
• Process Notices to Owner, liens, sworn statements, and lien releases
• Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to customer requests for invoices, statements, and supporting documentation
• Assist with credit applications and provide support on additional accounting tasks as needed
