Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking an Apprentice - Construction to join the Construction team. This entry-level role works with a field mentor during a 180-day apprenticeship, assisting with residential repairs, maintenance, and some project coordination. You will gain hands-on experience while learning safety protocols and reporting, with opportunities for growth within a nationwide single-family rental portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license in the working state and acceptable MVR.
• Basic residential maintenance knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing basic condition reports, estimates, and change notes under supervision.
• Learn to communicate scope, schedule, and cost updates professionally.
• Identify simple tasks to help reduce cycle times and costs.
• Coordinate with Construction Superintendent and Project Manager; communicate with vendors and stakeholders.
• Participate in quality control walks and assist with punch lists.
• Verify work completion against company standards and document progress.
