Alyeska Builders is a locally owned general contractor serving Interior Alaska, and we're looking for motivated individuals who want to learn the carpentry trade, develop valuable skills, and build a long-term career in construction. You don't need years of carpentry experience to get started. We're looking for people with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the drive to become skilled construction professionals.
Apprentice positions are limited, and we select candidates who demonstrate reliability, initiative, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in building a career in the trades. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced carpenters and construction professionals while gaining hands‑on experience on real projects.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills, take on greater responsibility, and work toward becoming a Journeyman Carpenter.
We're a growing company, and we want our employees to grow with us.
For the right person, an apprenticeship can be the beginning of a long-term career at Alyeska Builders. As you develop your skills and prove your abilities, opportunities may include increased responsibility, higher compensation, Journeyman status, crew leadership, supervision, and other roles as our company continues to expand.
**We're not just looking for someone to fill a position today. We're looking for people who can become an important part of our company tomorrow.

After reaching Journeyman status, employees become eligible for annual 1-3% performance‑based wage increases, creating continued opportunities for financial growth throughout their career with Alyeska Builders.
We intentionally maintain a limited number of apprentice positions so our apprentices have the opportunity to work alongside experienced team members, receive hands‑on instruction, and develop their skills. If you’re dependable, motivated, willing to learn, and looking for more than just another job, this could be the opportunity to learn a trade and build a career with a growing Interior Alaska company.
