The Association of Village Council Presidents is looking for a Seasonal Carpenter in Tuluksak, Alaska. This role requires hands-on experience with carpentry skills, particularly in residential construction or maintenance tasks. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, adaptability, and ability to work outdoors in extreme weather.
The successful applicant will be supervised by the Lead Carpenter and may need to travel for projects. A valid Alaska Driver's License is required. Proficiency in Yuplik and English is preferred.

SUMMARY: Job requires that you have experience with carpentry skills in residential construction or remodel or building maintenance. Good work ethic, good attitude daily and desire to grow in the construction industry. Under the direct supervision of the Lead Carpenter on-site.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Work will be in outdoor environments. May travel by jet, small plane, four wheeler, snow machine, boat.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Combination of (1 to 4) years working in a carpenter or construction position. Must have experience in and knowledge of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and use it.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid State of Alaska Driver's License with a good enough driving record to be insured on the AVCP Vehicle Policy.
