Job summary

Centurion Selection, LLC is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to handle vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and expense reporting for construction projects in Florida. This role supports accurate financial records and timely processing in line with company policies.

You will review invoices for proper coding, match with POs/receipts, and ensure compliance with lien releases, insurance certificates, and W-9 forms. Strong QuickBooks and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required for AP responsibilities.
• Two years of AP experience in construction preferred.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and vendor compliance.
• Experience reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and approvals.
• Match purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documents to invoices.
• Process vendor payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) per payment terms.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with lien releases, insurance certificates, and W-9s.
• Maintain and reconcile AP ledger; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly AP reports for management review.
• Assist with month-end closing and year-end audits.
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries promptly.
• Maintain accurate filing systems and comply with retention laws.
• Adhere to internal controls and Florida construction accounting requirements.
