Job summary

Durr Heavy Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled Accountant to manage the full accounts payable cycle and support related general ledger, payroll, and financial close work. You will process invoices, confirm job coding, issue timely payments, and maintain records that support accurate job costing and reliable financial reporting.

Collaboration with Project Managers and the accounting team is essential to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• At least five years of accounting experience, including AP and reconciliations.
• Construction accounting and job costing experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounts payable cycle, vendor and subcontractor invoices, approvals, and payments.
• Maintain vendor records and prepare payment runs to meet terms and maximize discounts.
• Reconcile AP balances, assist with month-end close, and support audits.
• Assist with job costing, GL entries, and financial reporting with CFO coordination.
