Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Construction Project Management and Analytics Intern for Summer 2027 in Grand Rapids, MI. You will join the Construction team on a dual-path internship blending hands-on project management with construction analytics.

You will collaborate with project managers, construction partners and internal teams to analyze cost, schedule and portfolio data, support dashboards and reporting, and deliver a meaningful summer project with findings for leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Construction Project Managers on active projects and participate in project meetings, site visits and field activities.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, action items, documentation, status reporting, quality, turnover and closeout activities.
• Work with architects, engineers, construction managers, general contractors, vendors and internal Meijer partners.
• Analyze construction cost, schedule and portfolio data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support dashboards, reports, KPIs, forecasting, variance analysis and project or program tracking tools.
• Help improve data quality, standardization and reporting using tools such as Excel, Power BI and AI.
• Translate project observations and analysis into practical findings and recommendations for project teams and leadership.
• Complete a meaningful summer project that connects project delivery and analytics, then present findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.
