Job summary

Service Electric Company seeks a Construction Advisor to improve constructability and execution readiness on large‑scale electrical transmission and distribution projects. You will partner with field leadership, customer engineering, and project teams to identify construction risks and align designs with safe, efficient means and methods.

Responsibilities include constructability reviews, execution planning support, and QA/QC involvement to ensure work meets customer specifications and company

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive electrical utility construction experience.
• Hands-on experience in transmission/distribution systems.
• Experience administering a formal QA/QC program in a utility construction environment.
• Familiarity with AEP and/or Dominion Energy construction standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead constructability reviews and identify scope gaps, safety concerns, and field constraints.
• Validate construction sequencing, crew approach, equipment needs, and work packages.
• Evaluate resource plans to align with means/methods and site constraints.
• Maintain redlines, as-builts, and constructability notes for design updates.
• Identify constructability risks and coordinate with client and internal teams.
• Support QA/QC program and ensure compliance with standards.
• Build relationships with customer contacts and represent SEC.
• Travel and field presence as required.
