Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking a Construction Lead to provide leadership and field oversight across transmission and distribution disciplines, ensuring safe, efficient construction execution with a strong safety focus. You will act as the primary liaison between Construction Management and cross-functional partners, coordinating planning, scheduling, and field activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Safety or related field.
• ABET-accredited associate degree in electrical, construction management, safety, civil engineering technology or related field.
• High school diploma or GED with minimum 10 years as AEP/contractor line or station field employee or Construction Rep.

Responsibilities

• Lead constructability scoping efforts to align construction sequencing and execution early in the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate transmission lines, substation, and distribution construction activities with field teams.
• Evaluate outages, material flow, and logistics; manage access constraints and risk.
• Mentor and train junior personnel; ensure safety and compliance.
