Job summary

Perkins&Will in Dallas seeks an experienced project administrator to support project managers on healthcare construction projects. You will manage submittals, respond to RFIs, and coordinate with technical consultants to meet contract obligations.

The role includes on-site evaluations, field reports, punch list work, and closeout documentation. Strong organization, communication, and knowledge of codes are essential; occasional travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience including exposure to healthcare projects.
  • Professional degree in Architecture or Construction Management or Interior Design (with emphasis in Interior Architecture).
  • LEED GA within 6 months of hire.
  • Professional Accreditation in Living Design: LEED AP, WELL, SITES, or ILFI Living Future (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Assists project managers and communicates updates.
  • Receives, reviews, approves, returns, and tracks submittals with coordination from consultants and engineers to meet contract obligations.
  • Responds to contractor RFIs.
  • Assists in preparing CCDs, sketches, addenda and bulletins for changes.
  • Conducts on-site evaluations and issues field reports.
  • Reviews contractor pay applications.
  • Ensures adherence to project specs and construction documents.
  • Enforces quality control per contracts, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Travels to project sites or works remotely as needed.
  • Collaborates with owners, engineers, and contractors.
  • Performs punch list site visits and issues final reports for substantial and final completion dates.
  • Assembles project closeout documents including as-builts and warranties.

Job description

  • Assists in the preparation of changes to be issued in the form of Construction Change Directives (CCD’s), Sketches, Addenda and Bulletins.
  • Conducts on-site evaluations as construction progresses, authors and issues field reports in a timely manner.
  • Reviews contractors’ pay applications.
  • Examines and understands project specifications and construction documents.
  • Enforces quality control measures that ensure compliance with contracts, building, and code requirements.

  • Able to work cooperatively with project teams, including but not limited to owners, engineers, and contractors.
