Job summary

Procon is seeking a Construction Administrator to provide professional construction management and construction administration services in support of a healthcare construction project. This role will support planning, design review, construction, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or related field, plus a minimum of three years of field experience; fifteen years can substitute for the degree.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or related field; substitution allowed with 15 years of experience.
  • Minimum three years of construction field experience in CM/CA services.
  • Knowledge of construction practices including QA, Safety, Time, Cost, Change, and Information Management.
  • Familiarity with site operations of General and Sub-contractor and managing construction operations.
  • Strong communication, language, and software skills to monitor and produce work products.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor construction for Quality Assurance and identify deficiencies in relation to the contract documents.
  • Understand the baseline schedule and assist in determining the value of the acceptable work in place.
  • Provide consultative assistance related to operations, renovation, and new construction programs supporting EHRM.
  • Manage records, correspondence, technical documentation, and submittals to support construction management operations.
  • Establish and maintain control logs, prepare data in prescribed format, and prepare necessary forms and files.
  • Track construction modifications, RFIs, and material submittals.
  • Track purchases and shipping receipts and prepare web-based purchase-tracking reports.
  • Arrange meetings or conferences including locations, schedule, agenda, reservations and attendance lists.
  • Download, rename, and copy project submittals and RFIs from RMS to VA and Activation servers.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.

Procon is seeking a Construction Administrator to provide professional construction management and construction administration services in support of a healthcare construction project. This role will support projects throughout planning, design review, construction, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Fifteen (15) years of directly related construction experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Minimum three (3) years of construction field experience performing construction management or construction administration services.
  • Working knowledge of construction practices and the ability to call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project. This includes Quality Assurance; Safety, Time, Cost, Change, and Information Management.
  • Familiarity with the site operations of a General and Sub-contractor and the process of managing a building construction operation.
  • Communication, language, and software skills, with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products.
Certifications and Training
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training required.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a VA Personal Identity Verification credential.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in administrative support for the construction of medical centers (hospitals, etc.) preferred. Experience working with Veterans Affairs (the VA) preferred.
  • Experience managing projects of similar size, complexity, and operational sensitivity.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Monitor the construction for Quality Assurance and prepare, analyze, and identify incongruities and deficiencies in the contractors work in relationship with the construction documents.
  • Understand the baseline schedule and assist in determining the value of the acceptable work in place.
  • Provide professional and technical consultative assistance related to operations, renovation, and new construction programs supporting EHRM.
  • Receiving, reviewing, organizing, transmitting, filing, or arranging delivery of a variety of records, correspondence, technical documentation, samples, packages, etc. to ensure timely action by construction managers, contractors, or other key projectstakeholders to facilitate or support construction management operations.
  • Establishing and maintaining control logs, preparing data in prescribed format and preparing necessary forms and working files essential to operations.
  • Tracking construction modifications, contractor requests for clarification, and material submittals for the office's assigned projects.
  • Tracking purchases and shipping receipts and preparing necessary web-based purchase tracking reports for submission.
  • Arranging meetings or conferences to include locations, schedule, agenda, reservations and attendance lists.
  • Download, rename, and copy of project submittals and requests for information (RFI) from Resident Management System (RMS) to VA and Activation servers.
