Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional for our construction industry client in Carrollton, Texas. The role covers all accounts payable functions, labor payments, reconciliations, A/R and payroll oversight, and collaboration with the finance team.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 5 years in AP (construction preferred), strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of labor payments, reconciliations, A/R, A/P, and payroll.
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem-solving and quick discrepancy resolution.
• Team-oriented with ability to collaborate.
• Confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of accounts payable and ensure timely payments.
• Oversee labor payments and ensure correct wages.
• Reconcile accounts regularly and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle A/R and A/P, including invoicing, collections, and vendor relations.
• Oversee payroll processing and timely employee payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and produce reports as needed.
• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes.
• Stay compliant with financial regulations and industry changes.
