Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Marietta, GA to join our accounting team on-site. You will process vendor and subcontractor invoices, verify coding, and support project-level billing and month-end close.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction accounting processes and terminology.
• Experience with high-volume invoicing, lien waivers, AIA billing, and subcontractor documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor and subcontractor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, POs, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Process lien waivers, certificates of insurance, and other subcontractor documentation.
• Support AIA billing, pay applications, and project billing processes.
• Assist with change orders, purchase orders, and project accounting documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding issues.
• Prepare and process payments while maintaining AP records.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, project managers, and internal teams.
