CBIZ Talent & Compensation Solutions is assisting a growing client in their search for an Accounting Manager role near Downtown Cleveland, OH. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of partnering with an outside consultant and internal accounting team to drive accurate financial reporting and process improvements.

The role emphasizes construction industry accounting, job costing, and strong collaboration with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and treasury

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in construction or project accounting.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and construction industry reporting (job costing, WIP).
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting software.

Responsabilités

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in partnership with the outside consultant.
• Conduct job cost analysis, tracking project budgets and cost variances.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, GL activity, and reconciliations; ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.
