6 Degrees Search is seeking an Accounting Manager–Commercial Construction / Project-Based Business in Stockbridge, GA to lead accounting operations for a growing, owner-led company in the construction industry. This on-site, full-time role reports to the owner and supervises a three-person accounting team.

Responsibilities include month-end close, GL, AP/AR, project costing, financial reporting, cash forecasting, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Understanding of AP, AR, GL, reconciliations.
• Construction or project accounting experience preferred.
• Tech-savvy with ability to adopt new software.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations with a three-person team.
• Manage month-end close, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Oversee AP, AR, collections, and customer billing.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare short-term cash forecasts.
• Strengthen job-costing and project-accounting processes.
• Develop and maintain accounting controls.
• Collaborate with project managers and outside CPA partners.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve processes.
