Job summary

PCL Construction is seeking an Accounting Manager in Denver to provide strategic financial leadership across district accounting operations. You will lead an accounting team, ensure strong internal controls, and drive timely financial reporting and forecasting aligned with company policies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred) and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership/supervisory experience managing an accounting function or team
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
• Construction or related industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team by setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth
• Oversee, monitor, and be accountable for key accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close
• Deliver timely financial reporting and provide insights that support leadership decision-making, including ad hoc analysis as needed
• Manage the district financial cycle and working capital in accordance with company policies, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Drive accounting system and process improvements to enhance accuracy, scalability, and operational efficiency
