Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing is seeking an Accounting Manager for a SE Portland construction-focused organization. You will oversee job costing, partner with project managers, and support audit processes while aligning finance and project workflows.

Reporting to the Controller, the role offers a pathway to broader leadership and function design within our accounting team. This full-time, on-site position requires strong knowledge of construction accounting concepts and value-driven process

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of accounting experience in construction job costing or public accounting audit.
• Familiarity with core job costing concepts, including progress billing, WIP schedules, and schedule of values.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with project managers, operational staff, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee company-wide job costing and provide financial visibility for all active projects.
• Collaborate with project managers on cost tracking, schedule of values, progress billing, and change order management.
• Compile project-cost documentation and maintain audit schedules for public agency and municipal reviews.
• Refine accounting workflows, integrate project management and finance systems, and modernize internal controls.
• Help shape an evolving accounting function with expanding scope and leadership responsibilities.
