LHH is seeking a Construction Accounting Manager to join a growing organization in Irving, TX. The role oversees job costing, project accounting, month-end close, AP/AR, budgeting, and financial reporting, partnering with project managers and operations leadership to ensure accurate costs and strong controls.

The ideal candidate has hands-on construction accounting experience, proven leadership, and the ability to drive process improvements across the finance function to support project

Responsabilités

• Oversee job costing and project accounting activities.
• Lead month-end close and financial reporting.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, forecasts, and cost-to-complete estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers to identify variances and opportunities.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable and AR aging.
• Prepare financial reports and KPI analyses for job costs and margins.
• Support cash flow forecasting, audits, compliance, and internal controls.
• Coach and develop accounting staff and drive process improvements.
• Assist with contracts, change orders, and project-related financial matters.

LHH is seeking a Construction Accounting Manager to join a growing company in the construction industry. This role will oversee key accounting functions, including job costing, project financials, month-end close, AP/AR, budgeting, and financial reporting. The Construction Accounting Manager will partner closely with project managers and operations leadership to ensure accurate project costs, strong financial controls, and visibility into project profitability.

The ideal candidate will have solid construction accounting experience, strong leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to financial operations. Responsibilities

• Manage construction accounting activities, including job costing, project accounting, AP/AR, and account reconciliations.
• Lead month-end close activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, forecasts, profitability, and cost-to-complete estimates.
• Partner with project managers to identify cost variances, billing issues, margin risks, and financial opportunities.
• Oversee project billing, collections, vendor payments, and AR aging.
• Prepare financial reports and KPI analysis related to job costs, project margins, cash flow, and overall performance.
• Support cash flow forecasting, audits, compliance, and internal financial controls.
• Supervise and develop accounting team members while driving process improvements.
• Assist with contracts, change orders, and other project-related financial matters.

Requirements

• Progressive accounting experience with a strong background in the construction industry.
• Hands-on experience with job costing, project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, and accounting principles.
• Experience analyzing project profitability, cost variances, and cost-to-complete estimates.
• Previous accounting leadership or supervisory experience preferred.Strong Excel skills and experience with construction accounting or ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
