United Contractor Services is seeking a Construction Accountant to join our team. You will support project finance, ensure GAAP compliance, and assist with month-end close across multiple entities.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile ledgers, bill customers, and assist with audits. Proficiency in ViewPoint or Oracle, strong Excel skills, and attention to detail are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of multi-entity Construction Accounting or Finance experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, GL, AR and Cash Management processes.
• Experience with an ERP such as ViewPoint or Oracle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, perform general ledger account reconciliations, and research and resolve variances.
• Generate monthly customer billings, providing all supporting documents including waivers.
• Provide support for accounts receivable activities, including cash application and soft collections.
• Reconcile customer accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, and support timely collection of outstanding balances.
• Coordinate collection and submission of subcontractor waivers to facilitate timely payment of receivables.
• Ensure project compliance with COIs, warranties, bonds and lien waivers.
• Assist month-end and year-end closing activities and related reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation to support audits and ensure compliance with policies.
