Job summary

STG Construction is seeking an Accounting Controller to own financial reporting and lead the accounting team. This hands-on leadership role reports to the CFO, focusing on accurate monthly closes and consolidated statements across multiple entities.

You will coach assistants, maintain strong controls, and ensure WIP, percentage-of-completion revenue, job costing, and AIA billing are handled correctly while partnering with the CFO to improve close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years accounting experience with 2+ years in leadership.
• Construction industry accounting experience (WIP, %‑of‑completion, job costing, AIA).

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and consolidated financial statements.
• Lead and develop the accounting team (AP/AR).
• Review unit financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform multi-entity consolidation and maintain GL integrity.
