Job summary

Gunthers is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to ensure accurate and timely payments on our commercial projects. You will own monthly progress billings, track paperwork, and handle daily cash deposits and posting. The role can be full-time or part-time.

You’ll work with project managers, use Spectrum and Service Titan, and ensure lien waivers and compliance for subcontractors and suppliers. Attention to detail and solid communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, or construction accounting is a plus, but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general software literacy.
• Strong attention to detail and organized approach to follow-up.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle monthly progress billings and ensure timely invoicing.
• Set up billing for new jobs including contract value and scheduling of values.
• Manage change orders and flag unapproved changes.
• Track retention and bill at project closeout.
• Submit billings through GC portals on time.
• Reconcile billed-to-date in Spectrum with pay apps monthly.
